At Little Learners Day Nursery we believe that play is critical to the well-being and healthy development of every child. In our warm and welcoming environment we understand that play is primarily an instinctive process through which every child begins to explore, experiment and define its environment.
Our nursery accommodation is set within a large detached house in spacious grounds. The accommodation has undergone extensive refurbishment over the years to create both an indoor and outdoor environment designed specifically to provide safe and stimulating childcare for children. Situated on Edge Lane at the Chorlton / Stretford border we are only a couple of minutes away from the Metrolink station and the A56 which is the main route into the city centre.
We are open for fifty one weeks of the year with the exception of all public holidays and Christmas week. Our opening hours from Monday to Friday are 7.30am-6.00pm. The nursery is registered for 94 children from the age of six weeks through to five years. Care can be provided on a part-time and full time basis by our highly qualified and skilled staff.
Our establishment has provided childcare to the community for over 10 years and has forged good links with the local schools and settings. We are both OFSTED and NDNA registered and work closely with the local authority.
We take the security of the nursery very seriously. We have CCTV both internally and externally and a biometric finger print scanner allows parents to access the nursery independently. The nursery is easy to access as we have our own car parks for parents and staff. We also provide secure covered storage for your prams and pushchairs should you choose to walk to the nursery.
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. We inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. Ofsted is a non-ministerial department.
National Day Nurseries Association is the national, award-winning charity and membership association for nurseries throughout the UK and internationally. We're here to give vital information and advice on every aspect of childcare, to provide expert training and to campaign for changes that will help to give children the best possible start in life.
